Abstract. The studies were conducted to investigate the effect of nutrition backgrounds and weather conditions on the yield of a pea-oat mixture. The work was carried out on dark gray forest heavy loamy soil in the Sverdlovsk Region in 2016-2025. The study of the following options is included in the grain–grass crop rotation (annual grasses, rapeseed, barley + clover, clover 1 year, wheat, oats): 1 - control background; 2 – mineral (N30P30K36); 3 – organomineral (N24P24K30 + green manure and straw). The highest yields of green mass of the pea-oat mixture in relation to the variant without fertilizers (16.3 t) were obtained under excessively wet conditions (HTC – 2.2), they amounted to 7.7-10.1 t/ha. Depending on the background of nutrition, the minimum yield of green mass (7.4-10.9 t/ha) was noted under dry conditions (HTC – 0.41). The yield of annual grasses was strongly positively dependent on the amount of precipitation during the growing season (May – June), and the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.71–0.75 against the background of fertilizers. A negative relationship was found between the collection of green mass and the average daily air temperatures (r – -0.73 -0.80), regardless of the nutritional background. The application of mineral fertilizers increased the total nitrogen content in the dry mass of annual grasses by 0.21-0.22%, phosphorus – by 0.07-0.09% and potassium – by 0.20-0.32%, and crude protein – by 1.3-1.4%, crude fat – 0.42-0.43%, compared with the natural background of fertility. When mineral fertilizers were applied at a dose of N45P45K45 and combined with organic fertilizers (green manure, straw), the content of digestible protein increased by 1.29-1.39%  (in the control – 7.42%). The provision of one feed unit with digestible protein when applying fertilizers was 104-105 g.
