Theoretical and scientific-practical journal «Herald of Beef Cattle Breeding» is the legal successor of the journal «Animal Husbandry and Fodder Production», that was established in 1931. Be print media of Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution «Federal Research Center for Biological Systems and Agrotechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences».
Since January 2018 the journal «Herald of Beef Cattle Breeding» have been renamed to «Animal Husbandry and Fodder Production» (Extract from catalogue of registered media series PI № FS77-72507 from 20 March 2018).
Since 2018 the volume numbering have been resumed in journal «Animal Husbandry and Fodder Production» (previous title – Herald of Beef Cattle Breeding) in accordance with national publishing standards, which was not applied in the period from 2012 to 2017.

The purpose of activity
To form scientific information environment and disseminate information about scientific developments and researches in veterinary medicine and animal husbandry, agronomy, economics and management of the national economy, conducted by scientists FSBSI FRC BST RAS, scientists and specialists of research institutes and universities in Russia, CIS and far abroad.
