The impact of innovative feed processing technologies on milk productivity and physiological state of dairy cows

Abstract. One of the pressing challenges is the development of feed rations that enhance animal productivity and ensure their full utilization. The Altai Krai region boasts endemic plant resources, such as sea buckthorn, whose processing yields feed rich in deficient nutrients such as protein, vitamins, and minerals. Modern feed processing technologies, particularly those using hydrodynamic dispersion and combined with processed local berry products, enable uniquely enriched rations, thereby not only increasing milk production but also improving milk quality and animal well-being. Processing a grain mixture in a dispersant increases the amount of mono- and oligosaccharides in dairy cow diets by 2.5-3 times, increasing milk productivity by 17.1%. Feeding sea buckthorn meal to dairy cows in addition to the grain porridge increases milk yield by 21.3%. The use of these processed plant resources has a positive effect on the productivity and physiology of dairy cows.
