Abstract. This review article is a comprehensive analysis of current scientific data on the use of Chlorella vulgaris microalgae as a feed additive in animal husbandry. The review examines the biological features of chlorella, its chemical composition and nutritional value, as well as the technological aspects of its cultivation. The primary focus is on the effect of chlorella-based additives on physiological parameters, productivity and product quality in various taxonomic groups of farm animals: ruminants (cattle, sheep, goats) and monogastric (poultry, pigs, rabbits). The results of numerous empirical studies demonstrating the dose-dependent and species-specific nature of chlorella exposure are summarized. It has been shown to have a positive effect on digestive processes, immune status, antioxidant protection, reproductive function, as well as on the enrichment of end products (milk, meat, eggs) with valuable nutrients such as omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, carotenoids and vitamins. The role of chlorella in modulating the composition of the microbiota of the gastrointestinal tract and reducing methane release in ruminants is noted.

Keywords: animal husbandry, cattle, small cattle, poultry, pigs, rabbits, feeding, green mass, microalgae, chlorella
