Abstract. This study analyzes a way to eliminate protein deficiency in complete feeds for broiler chickens by using white lupin (Lupinus albus L.) of the Dega variety in recipes to increase their nutritional value and realize the genetic productivity potential of broiler chickens. The influence of nutrients in experimental complete feeds based on white lupine on the nutritional value of the diets, zootechnical parameters, nutrient digestibility, nitrogen balance, blood biochemistry, and enzyme activity was studied. It was found that the addition of 15, 20, and 25% of the white lupine without shell to complete feed recipes allows for the partial or complete replacement of traditional expensive protein sources—fishmeal, oilcakes, and meals—and ensures a balanced diet in terms of essential nutrients. An increase in the average daily live weight gain in experimental groups 2, 3, and 4 by 4.43, 5.01, and 6.04%, respectively, compared to the control was recorded. In physiological experiments, an improvement in the digestibility of nutrients in the diets of the experimental groups was recorded. The coefficients of digestibility of fiber and crude fat in groups 2, 3 and 4 exceeded the control ones by 1.34 and 2.04%; 2.72 and 3.06%; 3.55 and 4.08%, respectively. Similar dynamics were observed for the digestibility of nitrogen-free extractive substances, as well as for the digestibility of calcium and phosphorus in the experimental groups. The experimental white lupine-based compound feeds provided better conversion of feed nutrients into production and nitrogen retention in the broiler body. In experimental groups 2, 3, and 4, nitrogen retention was higher by 3.60, 5.67, and 9.27%, respectively. This contributed to more efficient nitrogen utilization by the experimental groups relative to that consumed with feed: by 1.54% in group 2, 2.42% in group 3, and 3.96% in group 4. The results of blood biochemistry and enzymatic activity analysis revealed no abnormalities; all parameters remained within physiological norms, indicating good physiological condition, metabolic status, and expression of the genetic potential for broiler chicken productivity.
